Diamond cutting
Many new cars come with diamond cut wheels these days which look very nice until kerbed or damage appears under the lacquer.
Pro Alloys have a state of the art diamond cut wheel lathe for re-cutting the face of alloy wheels, this is done with a diamond tip making a very even and polished looking finish.
Our diamond cutting process starts by stripping the tyre from the wheel, we then dip the wheel in a chemical solution to remove all the paint leaving a bare wheel.
The alloy is then stand blasted to key the wheel and ready for paint.
The wheel is then powder coated with primier and baked, the wheel is then removed and a base colour is applied.
Once the wheel has cooled we then diamond cut the wheel the face to remove any kerbing (see video below).
The last step in the process is to lacquer the wheel with an acrilic lacquer and bake for our set time, the wheel is then removed and cooled before re-fitting the tyre and balencing.
